About Rachel
Brooklyn born and Coney Island cultivated, Rachel Elizabeth Morrison is a writer, advocate and entrepreneur. Trained in the arts from an early age, she found her place on the stage. Dancing throughout her public-school education created a multitude of opportunities and continues to be a guiding light throughout life as an American born to a West Indian mother. This duality, although challenging in childhood proved to be an asset as she was forming her own mind and rediscovering her true self in college. Since the 2020s began, she’s had cherished time to be present while sitting with her past and future selves. After reviewing a 15-year work history in legislation, hospitality, performing arts, childcare, sales and office administration, she began to envision a life as an author and business owner with all areas of her life in alignment. And as a multi-passionate and neurodivergent person, she spent much of that time enrolled in courses on data management, holistic therapy, construction, accounting/bookkeeping, business, securities, data systems management and professional development to help bring those goals to life. After participating in numerous accelerators and a pitch contest, she knew she was ready to build bridges to access the kind of community she would always belong to. The dream she pitched had to be scaled and parsed out over time, leaving room for further development, growth and partnerships. In the meantime, she is forging new bonds, reorganizing, living holistically & creating the space for her lofty, neurodivergent mind to bloom.
